Kristin Klade

PASTOR

Kristin is a native Fort Worthian: a hospice chaplain by day, dance teacher and preacher-pub-church-organizer by night. She was ordained in 2015 in the Lutheran (ELCA) tradition after receiving her MDiv from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. She also has a BA in Religious Studies and a BFA in Ballet Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma (much to pastor Phil’s chagrin). Kristin focusses on pastoral theology that considers the suffering she sees each day as a chaplain. She has been preaching at Kyrie for 10 years and considers it one of the greatest privileges of her life, aside from her role as mom to her kids: Frank and Winifred. Some of her other interests include interfaith dialogue, end-of-life planning, and brewing kombucha.

Sean O’Neil

PASTOR

Sean is a pastor, educator, and author. Having written and spoken openly about personal struggles and liberating victories related to mental health, Sean is passionate about helping people find pathways to peace. He is also enamored with God’s creation, so when he is not
preaching, you will often find him at Kyrie with a furry friend. Sean
appreciates both his Canadian-American identity and Pentecostal-Catholic upbringing. He wants to help people who don’t fit into boxes to find their place in God’s expansive love.

Mallory O’Neil

Deacon

Mallory spent several years in academic settings where she both studied and taught about religious institutions and Cold War politics. Although she has since pivoted to a career in IT, she continues to explore the faith and justice issues that first motivated her academic pursuits. These passions inform her current ministry. As a deacon, she believes the best way to show God’s love is to care for people’s physical welfare, and as such she situates herself in the three locations of ministry: the church, the world, and the margins. In her free time, you can find her caring for her pets, watching Doctor Who, or reading horror novels.

Michael Rivard

26-27 Intern

Michael Rivard grew up in the
Roman Catholic tradition and came to the ELCA by way of the Episcopal Church in the US. He has held many leadership roles in the church beginning with playing guitar and leading music for the youth service at his church at the age of 15. In addition to serving the church, Michael served in the US Navy for almost 30 years as a Hospital Corpsman and retired from the Navy in 2017. Michael and his wife, Trish, live in Springtown and have four adult children, a son-in-law, and a two-and-a-half-year-old grandson. Michael felt called to pastoral ministry at the end of 2022 and started seminary training
in 2023 at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN as a distance learner. He is excited to preach and learn at Kyrie in a non-traditional setting.

PHIL HEINZE

PASTOR Emeritus

He was a sixth-grade teacher and youth director at Trinity Lutheran School in Toledo for eight years. He has two children: Joshua and Mary Ruth. He joined the staff of Calvary Lutheran in Richland Hills, TX, in 1991 and was the founder, visionary, and tireless supporter of Kyrie Pub Church for over a decade. We are proud to call him our pastor emeritus.
